Haliente grew from a love of dance, music and the power of bringing people together.
What began as a space for dance has evolved into a broader creative hub for instructors, artists, event organizers, teams, entrepreneurs and independent creators.
Today, Haliente continues to support dance classes and social dancing while creating more opportunities for people to teach, train, perform, gather, create and celebrate.
Our vision is to build an ecosystem for culture, creativity and community in Halifax.
A place where people can learn, practice, share, collaborate, celebrate and build something of their own.

The Haliente Lounge
An intimate 19+ venue where Georgian character meets modern nightlife, with lounge seating, a licensed bar, dramatic lighting and the signature Haliente atmosphere.
Dance will always be part of who we are.
Haliente continues to offer classes, workshops, socials and special events for beginners, experienced dancers and everyone in between.
We are also opening more space for independent instructors and communities to build their own programs and share their passion with others.
